Holyhead is situated on a small island on the west coast of Anglesey. There are coach and rail links to the town along with 2 ferry companies. Saint Cybi’s church stands in the centre of town surrounded by a Roman Fort, well worth a visit. Beaches - There are many safe sandy beaches in the area and South stack and North Stack offer ideal opportunities for bird watching.
The town has a sailing school and Marina and a number of sailing championships are held here History - A land train takes you to the country park at the foot of Holyhead Mountain where you will find a museum and café and many coastal walks
The maritime museum is located in the old lifeboat station (circa 1858) it also house an excellent Bistro. Art Centre/leisure - At Ucheldre provides activities for adults and children including art workshops, exhibitions, cinema, plays musical concerts etc
There is also an 18 hole championship golf course
